  This visitor center is small but really good, make sure you enter the lab and open all the drawers where they have some very interesting samples of local stuff. They also play 15 minute movies that are worth watching, you can request any of the 4-5 movies. Very helpful,friendly and knowledgeable staff. The shop has great souvenirs and there is a water refill station by the entrance of the center. Follow the easy paths, you get to see some animals and beautiful desert plants. They offer night activities to see the stars.

  Great city and park, The sculptures invite you to explore in order to discover them. Although we spent very little time there, we will definitely return until we have discovered them all. The camping was excellent, Watching the sunset and the rising of the nearly full moon on the horizon is priceless. We truly enjoyed nature and its landscapes.

  There are so many trails of all levels to explore here. Palm Canyons was my favorite. There are really easy loops you can take near the Visitors Center, particularly suited for those with mobility concerns. Make the Visitor’s Center your first stop for maps, hiking advice, and to see the well-presented exhibits. It was very hot even in early April and the wild flowers had already bloomed when we visited last week. Ideally, go in winter time before it gets hot and bring plenty of water and sun protection.

  We spent 2 nights Borrego Palm Canyon Campground during Easter weekend. It was our first time visiting the Visitor Center. We walked from the campground to the Visitor Center via the Visitor Center Interpretive Trail. It is 1 mile roundtrip and very educational. We had a dog and we could not go in the Visitor Center. My husband and I took turns going inside. There are cultural and historical display & a gift shop. The ranger was very helpful on providing places to visit and/or walk with our dog. There were maps and brochures available. We did the “Exciting Triangle Tour” and had amazing scenery along the way.

  We visited the park on our trip. We just crossed it, did not visit famous blooming grounds. Because of the heatwave, we were at the center before it even open (9am?). They have nice educational trails around the visitor center. The desert was starting to bloom. We didn't see snakes or many animals. Some birds and lots of off roaders outside the park. We would like to overnight some day here. Day use ticket was $10. No dogs in the visitor center.
