An easy 1.5-mile loop through pines and black oaks to the highest wooded point on Laguna Mountain. On clear days you can see San Diego, Point Loma and even the Channel Islands. It's hiking only, and brochures are available weekends at the visitor center, so it's a good first trail for preschoolers and up.
