Laguna Mountain Visitor Center

Mount Laguna, CA

★★★★★4.6(135 Google reviews)

A small volunteer-run center where kids can handle pelts, antlers and rocks, and where you buy the Adventure Pass required at most trailheads up here. Hours are genuinely limited and seasonal, so don't count on it for your parking pass without checking.

We were just expecting to pop into the visitor center but ended up spending at least 30 mins there. The staff person was very helpful in explaining the area campgrounds and even had recommendations for places we should check out outside of Southern California. My daughter loved the animal displays and hands on activities. It was an unexpected highlight of our trip.

Such a gorgeous day trip from San Diego. Rustic, Beautiful overlooks and lots of places to sit and ponder! You can end your wandering in the quaint town of Julian.

What a special visitor center! The exhibits are great and the volunteer staff is friendly and well informed. Definitely a great place to stop and get a feel for the area and plan your day.

It was beautiful even on summer or winter time. We were lucky to see the snow this year. This place is one of our favorite driving scenery.

Very informative and very helpful place to understand the surrounding area. It has information on the fauna and flora, history of the people, and cool exhibits.
