After a winter storm the pullouts along Sunrise Highway become San Diego County's main sledding spot — the only place in the county that reliably gets snow. Strictly weather-dependent: check road conditions and chain requirements, and go the day after a storm rather than during one.

Five stars for the sheer beauty and accessibility to all the trails. Two stars for the disgusting restrooms at Wooded Hills campground. Hence three stars. C'mon Park Rangers, show that place more attention.

Watch out for glorified parking maids (rangers). A Ranger at Cleveland National forest tried to give my wife and I two separate tickets for the same fire. Only reason he didn't because another Ranger said he only gave one ticket to a group of 5 with a fire. My confidence has been lost.
