The Forest Service rates this trail easy and calls it great for families. It crosses forest and open meadows, passes grazing cattle and, in wet years, ponds and lakes, with a 3.25-mile loop option. Park on the Sunrise Highway shoulder at mile marker 19.1, and display an Adventure Pass.
