A small Forest Service lake about 10 miles north of town on Hwy 243, with a fully accessible fishing pier, picnic tables and a short trail around the water. Kids can watch for ground squirrels, tree frogs and dragonflies. The state may stock rainbow trout (anglers 16+ need a fishing license), and the water is shut off in winter.
