The town side of the state park, with a quiet campground a short walk from the village and park headquarters (open daily 8am–4pm) for maps and trail advice. Dogs are allowed only in the Idyllwild and Stone Creek campgrounds, not on wilderness trails. The park was under fire restrictions as of June 2026.
