Cathedral City Snowfest
Cathedral City, CA
Free
By Simir Shah
Twelve tons of real snow are trucked into downtown Cathedral City for an afternoon and evening of play. The event also has photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, the tree lighting, trackless train rides, an Elf Workshop and a kids' ugly-sweater contest. For many desert kids it's their first snow.
