  Attending the Friday night astronomy program at the Sky’s The Limit Observatory and Nature Center was an amazing experience. The setting alone is incredible, with clear desert skies that make stargazing unforgettable. Ranger Simone made the evening especially memorable—she was entertaining, enthusiastic, and clearly passionate in her presentation, keeping everyone engaged while making the information fun and easy to understand. What really made the night special was the community atmosphere. Volunteers generously brought their own telescopes and took the time to share the night sky with all of us, which made the experience even more interactive. The other rangers were also wonderful, helping visitors identify stars, planets, and constellations, and answering questions along the way. Tickets should be obtained in advance, but the event itself is free, which makes this experience even more impressive and accessible to everyone. The entire evening was well organized, welcoming, and a fantastic way to spend a night in the desert. If you’re anywhere near Twentynine Palms, the Friday night astronomy program is absolutely worth attending. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys nature, science, or simply looking up at a sky full of stars.

  It's an OK experience, something I wouldn't repeat again.. The volunteers and the organizers are doing great but it was a very mediocre experience overall. Last night talk was full and it was a decent talk.... What followed was the not so nice part - We were repeatedly told a maybe about the dome ( for almost 45 mins ) then the weather got better & a long line of people who had no clue about what's next simply stood there until one of us went to ask if this is gonna be open at all the weather was pretty steady by then -- the astronomer couldn't shake off a few people which meant a long line of people waiting without a clue if there was going to be anything shown or not, what was eventually shown with just a little more effort it could have been so much better and a lot of hemming n hawwing without being mindful of people's time ,time is still time within reasonably acceptable adjustments we all need to make,,maybe different on other nights with other astronomers but it was the one night we booked so the review has to be based on that. Its great to tell everyone to be independent & go around & see ( other volunteer astronomers) through telescopes etc but that's again a hit or miss depending on what you get to see and what the independent astronomers are showing not merely weather related. No complaints reg the organizers who did a superb job in handling all the cars & parking, it's a sold out event too about 50+ cars ?? You wanna go ? Well. Just have very low expectation if nothing you'll get to see a lovely cluster of stars on a new moon night but you gotta pay 25$ to park !

  Friendly knowledgeable volunteer explained the unique and educational things to see. The night sky event was well attended and interesting presentation. Hoping to see a little more from the telescope stations but overall a cool experience
