  If you're looking for a weekend getaway with your kids, this is a great place. Affordable tickets are available for a variety of activities, from the animal pen to horseback riding. Pony rides are available for younger children. There are also many interesting locations on the grounds, including tractors, pumpkins, and haystacks. The horses are beautiful and well-groomed, and the staff is friendly.

  We LOVE Gilchrist farm and everything about it. My kids are part of their Animal Care Class where we come to the farm weekly to learn and take care of the animals. Each week we get hands on experience on what it takes to work and run a farm. These animals are looooooved! From the chickens, to the cows, to the pigs, horses and everything in between. Each day we feed these animals, milk the goats, learn about the animals individually and what it takes to care for them. We have experienced their garden area grow from inches to tall corn plants, sunflowers and pumpkins sprouting! From refilling the pigs mud, to helping pick chickens eggs. Monica, the owner, is a fabulous teacher & her staff is very welcoming as well. This place is the right kind of “dirty”— just as expected as a farm should be! WE LOVE GILCHRIST! -the Davis Family

  Great place for families to visit and enjoy the fall time festivities. They have a large petty zoo. The children can ride ponies. You can also buy crafts and also grab a snack. This is a priceless venue for children to have lots of fun. There is no charge to park. There is a small charge for the crafts and rides.

  Really nice place. Not as big as I expected but had a variety of things to do and the kids had such a great time! Loved the slide! Great pony carousel. Fun easter egg hunt! Wonderful animals and hospitality. The peacocks were beautiful! The goat was trying to nibble on my bag, hilarious. Will definitely go back.
