We visited Vasquez Rocks Natural Area on a day trip and had a great time. There is plenty of parking available, and restroom facilities are provided for visitors, making it easy to spend a few hours exploring the area. The hiking trails are enjoyable and offer beautiful views of the unique rock formations and surrounding landscape. It’s a peaceful place to walk, take photos, and appreciate nature. Amazing rock formations. I took the longest trail that is here - the Apwinga Loop Trail (3.4 miles) + the Rock Shelter Vista Trail (.25 miles). Great views along these trails. So much to see. Highly recommend!
