The museum reopened today. Today's short tour was great and the staff was spectacular. There's lots to see and lots to visit throughout the park.

There were many events going on including several bands. We were there for a recruiting promotion for the California Rangers. A training discipline for horseback riding.

Good fun for walking around and seeing all of the animals; Hart's Mansion is always interesting to look around in. After the self guided house tour, there was even a craft corner where kids could make a picture frame in the shape of a horse shoe for free. Staff was very friendly and made the experience all the more enjoyable!

We hated that the museum was closed because of Covid but my husband and I enjoyed hiking up to it. We saw bison and birds and the beautiful building and Mary Ellen’s tea room. It was peaceful and quiet and we enjoyed a picnic on the lawn at a picnic table. It was a perfect length walk.

This park indeed is a hidden gem per previous comments. I love hiking here! The Bisons are such great listeners. The views are amazing the higher you go.
