  Very picturesque! Beautiful park with a view of the Marshall Islands. Lots of big rocks, washed up bamboo and driftwood along the shore. Several memorials in honor of surfers that passed away. Lots of people walking, jogging, walking their dogs and a cat or simply sitting on the benches enjoying the sea breeze. . Everyone is nice and friendly. The park is next a Casino and Ventura County Fairgrounds.

  I’ve been coming here for years and always enjoy walking around this area. I like doing the full stretch. Sometimes I’ll go from Surfers Point down to the Ventura Pier, and other times I’ll head the opposite direction up the coast, walking along the bike path, the beach, or a mix of both. It’s usually further up that way where I’ll come across some interesting pieces of driftwood, and every once in a while I’ll even cross the river mouth and keep going for a longer hike. It’s a great place to really get some steps in without it ever feeling like a workout. There’s always something going on—surfers, occasionally windsurfers, people biking and walking, lots of dogs around—so the whole area feels alive but still relaxed at the same time. One of my favorite things about coming to this spot is the sunsets. They never fail to impress. Even after coming here for years, they still hit the same. Some seasons bring more of those deep orange glowing sunsets, so you don’t get that every time, but they’re usually quite spectacular nonetheless. Just an all-around great place to clear your head, get some walking exercise, and enjoy the Ventura coastline.
