  Great beach. Parking is 10$. Lot C is very close to the wood pathway. The beach was pretty empty on a Friday at noon during spring break. It got a little busier in the afternoon. The water was still pretty cold but people were playing in it. We saw 2 pods of dolphins and a real treat.... a gray whale with its calf, just about 30 years from shore!!! There were a lot of little sand flies that were annoying. If you move closer to the water, they're not as bad. Definitely will return to this beach.

  SCOUT THIS PARK BEFORE PLANNING A FAMILY GATHERING ‼️‼️‼️ Multiple bathrooms at this park and every single one closed. Park rangers even driving around, not caring at all. I presume it’s to prevent homeless from ruining the bathroom, but to not even leave one open?? Do they want the homeless to just poop on the ground? Like what are the park rangers even doing? Park looks great but what’s the point if I can’t even use the bathroom? Good thing I scouted this park before bringing the rest of my family. No wonder the park was empty on a Sunday. Maybe it’s a California/Ventura County thing, but I’m from Hawaii where we have more respect for the patrons of our beach parks. Make it make sense.
