What parents say

AI summary of 5 Google reviews — not a first-hand visit. How we write these

Go at opening and head straight for the tram, because reviewers say the queue grows fast. General parking means a steep uphill walk. It is more spread out than the zoo, so it feels less cramped when busy. Food and admission are expensive by most accounts. Arrive early for the daily show.

Sprawling open-range wildlife park where animals roam savanna habitats viewed by tram and trails.

This park exhibits and the staff are absolutely amazing! And every turn there was someone there to explain more about the animals or direct us to wherever we need to go. The animals all have huge enclosures and it is such a wonderful experience to be able to be so close to them. I highly recommend their excursions! Lizzie and Kelley were our guides for the Zipline experience and they did an absolute amazing job of entertaining us and making sure we were safe and educated on the tour and on the zip line. I had an amazing day and look forward to returning!

This is a great Safari Park to bring your kids if you want to see a good variety of animals without the massive scale of the San Diego Zoo. It's more of a wild safari-style park, and the regular tram tour offers a slightly above-average experience for an animal park. If you want to see this park at its best, I'd recommend the $111-per-person Safari experience or the Ballon ride experience. It gets you up close and personal with the animals — you'll be right in the mix, much closer to the giraffes and other animals than on the standard tram. The Baloon ride gives you a overhead view of the park and offers a special touch to a Safari park visit. I personally enjoyed the aviary, the ,Rhinos, Elephants & gorilla habitat. Overall, I'd give this park 4 out of 5 stars. If you've been to other safari parks in North America, this one ranks pretty well, though it's not quite the best out there.
