A county park at 6851 Ocean Park Road where the Santa Ynez River meets the sea, about 13 miles west of town off Highway 246, with a playground, barbecues and restrooms. Beach access closes every year from March 1 through September 30 for snowy plover nesting, and fishing is always banned. It's a bird-watching and photography spot rather than a swim beach.
