A small county-owned Del Playa bluff park with a Channel Islands theme, featuring signs about the gray whales and pelicans you can spot offshore, stone 'couches,' a seashell-inlaid fountain and a terrazzo ping-pong table. Keep kids well back from the bluff edge, because Isla Vista's cliffs are unstable and have collapsed after storms. Visit in daylight.
