A popular summit hike from the lot at Highway 67 and Poway Road: about 5–6 miles round trip with roughly 1,100 ft of climbing and almost no shade. It's for fit older kids, not little ones. Bring plenty of water (none at the trailhead) and avoid hot afternoons; the city warns that heat rescues are common on its trails.
