Commercial cut-flower seed fields — stock, larkspur, delphinium and more — that turn the Lompoc Valley into color-block patchwork roughly April through September, viewable from paved public roads (the fields themselves are private, no walking in). The season builds to the Lompoc Valley Flower Festival each June.

There are NO FLOWER FIELDS here. The company that used to plant flowers is no longer doing it. For a few years only vegetables are grown here. We were surprised to see emplty fields where Google took us. If you want to see flower fields, find a different place. We saw one small patch of wild flowers. Not worth the effort. The rocket launch site is very close. You can drive up the Ocean Avenue to watch the launch and watch the booster return back! Not giving any stars for launch pad as this is review for Flower Fields that don't exist. Google needs an update. It is closed.

One of the best free flower fields in California. Unlike the flower field in Carlsbad, this one is an actual commercial flower farm where the flowers are supplied to the local florists in California. Depending on the season, you will see different flowers blooming. Just have to look for them. The flowers are stretching along Ocean Road. In order see the flowers, you have to come around spring until end of summer. We came around around the beginning of June, the Lavenders were in bloom. We got some nice shots of the flowers It’s totally worth coming. But please be mindful not to trample the flowers as the fields are private properties.
