Reservoir with trails and the Lake Hodges pedestrian suspension bridge, good for easy family walks and birding. The bridge — officially the David Kreitzer Lake Hodges Bicycle Pedestrian Bridge — spans the San Dieguito River and is one of about 18 trails threading the lake's shoreline. Miles of open water and brush make it a genuinely good birding spot, with ducks and raptors regularly spotted along routes like the Turtle Head Mountain Trail.
