Reviewers say weekdays are far quieter than weekends. There is water play in a shallow river, so pack swim things and a change of clothes. It is pitched mainly at elementary ages, with a physics area that holds older kids. A cafe on site and air-conditioned rooms to cool off in.
Hands-on museum near the Rose Bowl with water play, climbing towers, and nature areas.

We absolutely love this place! My kids and I spend the entire day here every time we visit. We paid just $51 for tickets for the three of us, and it was totally worth it. There are so many fun activities for kids of all ages, plus air-conditioned areas to cool off and place to grab coffee or a meal. We especially enjoy coming on weekdays because it’s much less crowded than on weekends. Highly recommend for a fun family day out!

I am kind of of the opinion that my 11&9yo have outgrown kidspace but when we were invited to join family for free on a beautiful day we jumped at the chance! As it turns out, there was still lots to do for my big kids--they even took a turn on the tiny trikes. Right now, kidspace is doing a camp theme and added cool "travel" features to both trike areas and had roving musicians and a sing along with a magical bonfire. They had tiedye, the river (bring swim stuff!), the physics area, lots of climbing. It was a big hit! We spent the whole day and also enjoyed food from the cafe. The gift shop is well appointed.
