Part of the valley-wide CV Link path. The 5.4-mile Central Valley segment runs on-street and along the Whitewater River from the Bump n' Grind trailhead to Cook Street near Palm Desert High School. It is open to walking, running, biking and low-speed electric vehicles such as golf carts. It is flat, so it works for kids' bikes and strollers, but carry water because shade is scarce.
