  These two individuals are walking their dogs on a searing hot day here in Rancho Mirage without booties on. The dogs are trying to get off the pavement but they won’t listen to us when we said to pick the dogs up. Mall security has not come to escort them and they are filming me and saying “I have a big following I’m going to post you online” etc. Absolutely disgusting. If you see people doing this, please say something and report them. Thank you.

  I am a local resident of the Coachella Valley & really disappointed with the decline of The River in Rancho Mirage. This place has so much potential to be really nice , if it’s owned & managed right!!! Lower the rent to get some regional anchor restaurant in , like Lazy Dog, BJ’s Restaurant, Bowling etc… so many places have closed!!! Just recent are Bath & Body Works & Five Guys ..

  If I could give The River zero stars I would. We live in rancho mirage and used to enjoy going here at night. Had not gone for a few years and went on a Saturday night. The River has gone way downhill! A band was sooo loud, well over 100 decibels, that the pounding bass was going into the Greek and sushi restaurants, even with their doors closed. We felt sorry for those businesses, when Saturday night should be their best night. Walking around The River used to be pleasant, now it's painful. Also, they used to have a number of nice galleries. Those are gone. All empty store spaces between Dave and Buster's and the movie theater. Looks like quite a large number of spaces are now empty. Between the horrifically loud band and all the empty spaces it looks like whoever manages The River now would be best off with a different career.

  If you haven't been to the river, you need to. Great place, great food. They have an arcade and a movie theater, lots of things for the whole family to do here !
