Shadow Hill Park
Santee, CA

One of the few genuinely shaded playgrounds in Santee, with a gazebo holding six picnic tables, restrooms and courts. The shade makes this the reliable summer pick when the rest of East County's playgrounds are too hot to touch.

Very crowded with all age children. Open bright lit field for playing. Great walk path. Meh restrooms. No changing station which is so dumb considering its a childs park. Shaded seating for adults and such. Parking lot small considering the amount of people. Dog friendly.

We love this park. It's peaceful and fun for our kids! There is a concrete walkway around the perimeter. This is convenient for kids on scooters or people walking their dogs on a leash. They have a basketball court and covered area so that you can eat in the shade. There is plenty of parking.

We went there yesterday to check the park. My neighbor told me that it is a good park. My son was having fun running around. Nice park. Not so crowded when we went there. Update. It's still one of the good parks to go to close to Santee and Lakeside. It still amazing place to go with the kids. My kids love it. It's very quiet, not a lot of people here.

Beautiful park and playground has things we haven’t seen at many other parks. My son loved it and he gets bored easily. Swings and canopy above. My son’s favorite: a glider and monkey bars. It’s amazing how many parks don’t have monkey bars. Playground had lots of seating for parents, yet another thing many parks don’t have. Beautiful nature and trees and lots of shade, great place for picnics. Decent parking lot and bathroom. Would definitely come back.

Husband and I went for the tennis courts about an hour or so before sundown. There were quite a few people there but it didn't feel noisy or crowded. Even with the kids there. Sad there's only 2 tennis courts but they have bathrooms and tables by the playground. Thinking about going back to do a picnic/tennis date 😊 Definitely wanna go back
