The east side on Park Center Drive has a splash pad that's a lifesaver on hot summer afternoons, plus playgrounds and wide-open lawns for picnics and kite-flying. Bring towels and water shoes since the splash pad surface heats up midday. It's central and easy to pair with a stop at nearby Santee Trolley Square for lunch.

Town Center Park is the real heart of Santee, where a community comes together to enjoy the natural beauty of the park and share their life through the weekly Summer Concert series. Truly a heart warming free event for all ages. We enjoyed a wonderful sunset picnic while being seranaded by the Journeymen Band.(Faithfully).

There is always something family friendly happening at this park. It is clean, there is a place to buy food and beer if you're into that, huge place to play for the kids. Lots of trees on the north side for shade. If your dogs are friendly and on a leash, they are welcome.

If your middle of the week cinterest is baseball, soccer, taking toddlers to a playground or walking, there's an area for that. In the heat of the summer, the grass and the shade trees help. Santee had a vision for this spot next to the river, and it works.

These are great wide open fields with 2 options for parking, 1 at the sports plex then a quick walk and over the bridge and you're there. They have a cover pinic table area with several good sized tables, nice turf fields for flag football at night, good lighting, with easy access to restrooms and concession stand. They had staff constantly in motion cleaning up trash and general area. It is next to the river and can get pretty cold at night, would recommend thick jackets and small blankets!
