A privately maintained hilltop park with a stone amphitheater, short trails and one of the best all-round views in East County, free to the public. The summit lot holds only about a dozen cars — on clear evenings park in the lower lot on Vivera Drive and walk up.

It’s an awesome historic site to visit. The drive up may confuse some people though. There’s a hiking trail that goes around the top which gives great views of San Diego. There’s a couple of info boards to read and it’s an easy hike for young and old. There’s cross is really neat and so is the amphitheater where mass is still held and there’s also theatre productions held there.

We saw a Queen &Abba candlelight concert , it was beautiful. The view, the music... spectacular. The only negative was that we got our tickets through FEVER app and we paid for a picture, once we checked in, we were told they were not taking pictures that day. NO refund or anything to compensate. I'm very upset about that. It's like they just stole my money. She said to ask for a refund but didn't have a number or info. Plain rude.
