Robert Adams Community Park

Valley Center, CA

★★★★★4.5(112 Google reviews)

The main community park on Cole Grade Road, with playgrounds, ball fields and picnic areas — a good place to let kids run before or after the drive home. Shade is limited, so morning or late afternoon beats midday out here.

New, very well, designed children's play area with safety in mind. Full of challenging climbing areas. Guaranteed to works you childs muscles and mind. Picnic tables - some with shelter and many garbage bins dispersed for easy self clean up. The massive oak trees are well pruned. Over all Valley Center is fortunate to have Adams Park. There's also the swimming pool and the tennis club. Please donate a book or two in the cute book box stationed right next to the entrance. You can't miss it. Donate children's or adult books. Check out trails and the many diverse trees and plants.

This is a pretty, small, quiet park. I do know there is a history of teens doing things here that they shouldn't be doing, but that was years ago, so hopefully that has stopped. The park is beautiful, filled with grass and old trees, but the grass and weeds are a bit overgrown (maybe because of lots of recent rain), and the paved pathway definitely needs to be re-paved in some areas. There is a small plastic playground for children, and there are grills for people to use, but again, not in the best spots because the grass is growing up on them. There are tennis courts here, a volleyball court (on grass), and a pool, but it looks like you have to pay to swim. There are restrooms here in a brick building, inside the gated park.

The upgraded park is great! The butterfly themed playground is awesome. My kids loved it. The bathrooms are clean and great. There are many areas for parties or for gatherings. Unfortunately they don’t allow dogs anymore. I didn’t get a chance to take a photo of the sign but dogs are no longer allowed. Other than that detail this park is wonderful.
