What a hidden gem! Such a beautiful and beautifully-maintained space (including the outside courtyard), presenting the area's fascinating history and growth, along with a rotating featured artist space as well as a space for community gathering and discussion (and mural watching). Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Plenty of parking, too. Great for adults as well as children (there are some fun, interactive exercises/contests!).

This is a very nice little museum well worth the time to visit. They rotate the featured display regularly, and it is always well done and interesting. In addition to the history of the area, the museum has a weekly rotation of midday activities including videos, discussions, crafts and displays. Their website publishes a schedule every month. A good place to go in the summer to beat the heat. The building itself is part of the history of the area, well worth a visit in its own right. They have a courtyard that offers an occasional concert or lecture. And best of all, it's free.
