Plan your visit to The Pike
Researched from the venue and public sources, not a first-hand visit. How we write these
- How long to spend
- A shopping stop and a Ferris wheel or carousel ride take an hour or two; a movie at the Cinemark or a meal on one of the waterfront patios extends it.
- Parking & getting there
- The Pike has a multi-level parking structure, and retail store and Cinemark validations lower the cost. Long Beach Transit's Passport downtown circulator stops here and connects to Shoreline Village and the Aquarium of the Pacific.
- Best ages
- Little kids enjoy the historic carousel and the 90-foot Ferris wheel with views over the port. Teens tend to head for the shops, the Cinemark theater, and the casual restaurants.
- Food
- Restaurants include California Pizza Kitchen, Islands, Bubba Gump, P.F. Chang's, Famous Dave's, WaBa Grill, and Paris Baguette, with Cold Stone Creamery and La Michoacana for dessert.
- What to bring
- A light layer for the waterfront breeze and store receipts for parking validation.
- Rain or heat plan
- The center is open-air, so on a rainy or very hot day the Cinemark theater is the main indoor option on site. The Aquarium of the Pacific is a short walk away.

Pike was phenomenal we ended up having dinner at Tokyo wako. Had some bad tuna sushi from there but everything else was good. Wife ordered the lemon drop martini and it was awful made of a cheap popov type of vodka. I got. Large Sapporo which was great because it was already bottled by company 🤣🫠🤷 we then hit the ferris wheel with the family 9$ a person to go around 3 times at sunset time was really nice. A bit over priced but oh well. Won't be going back to Tokyo wako again thats for sure. We'll stick to pf changs or Bubba gumps

Nice mall, visited a few shops, found some good deals. Almost empty on a weekday afternoon.
