One of SAMLARC's largest parks (21601 Via Regressos) added a StoryWalk in 2026, an Eagle Scout project whose weatherproof panels spread a seasonally changing children's book along a walk; the park also has a playground, a reservable picnic shelter, a half basketball court and a Little Free Library-style book box. RSM parks are privately owned by the SAMLARC homeowners association; the city says most are open to the general public, but SAMLARC's guidelines reserve its facilities for residents and guests, and picnic-shelter permits go to residents only.
