Spent a few hours walking along the pier and shoreline. There's plenty of parking available and it's only a couple of bucks per hour. The weather was sunny warm and beautiful, the water was warm as well, although the waves were a little rough. The beach was not very crowded. We ate at a small shop on the pier then sat on one of the many available benches and watched the sun gleam off the water. A perfect way to spend a few hours on a warm summer day.

Redondo Beach Pier is a great place for fishing, but it's also a fantastic spot for a date night. The pier is a little different from most fishing piers—it doesn't extend straight out into the ocean. Instead, it stays closer to shore and wraps around the waterfront, creating a unique atmosphere with beautiful views. One of the things I really enjoyed was the large variety of restaurants. There are plenty of walk-up spots where you can grab food and either eat outside or take it with you onto the pier while fishing. I visited on a Sunday around 5:30 PM, and it was very crowded, which wasn't surprising. Fortunately, parking was plentiful and reasonably priced at only $2 per hour. As for fishing, we didn't catch anything this trip, but it was still an enjoyable experience. The pier stays open until 10 PM, and there's a bait shop right on the pier, making it convenient for anglers. Overall, it was a great visit. Whether you're fishing, enjoying a meal, or just taking a romantic stroll along the water, Redondo Beach Pier is definitely worth checking out.

Redondo Beach Pier is one of those rare places that perfectly blends relaxation with a lively coastal vibe. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful walk or a great seafood experience, this spot delivers on both. The pier is ideal for walking—wide, clean pathways with stunning ocean views make it perfect for a morning stroll or an evening sunset walk. The sound of waves, cool breeze, and scenic harbor views create a calming atmosphere that’s hard to beat. What really elevates the experience is the variety of seafood options available right on the pier. From casual spots to sit-down restaurants, you can enjoy fresh fish, shrimp, and classic coastal dishes while overlooking the water. The combination of fresh ocean air and great food makes it a standout destination. Overall, Redondo Beach Pier is a great place to unwind, enjoy nature, and indulge in delicious seafood—all in one visit. Highly recommended for both locals and visitors looking for a classic Southern California coastal experience.

⭐ Redondo Beach, California — Peaceful, Happy, and RefreshingRedondo Beach is a soul‑searching kind of place — calm, welcoming, and never overwhelmingly crowded. It’s one of the few Southern California beaches where you can actually relax. Parking is easy, the shoreline is clean, and the whole area has a laid‑back vibe that makes you feel good the moment you arrive. The food options around the pier and marina are excellent, with plenty of fresh seafood and casual spots to enjoy after a day in the sun. People swim, fish, paddle board, and stroll the pier, but it never feels chaotic. Just a genuinely happy beach with great views, friendly energy, and space to breathe.

My wife and I came to the beach and had very much looked forward to it. I didn’t anticipate how beautiful and scenic the pier would be! Very walkable with shops, bars and restaurants all throughout. The beach was also amazing and very easy to navigate as a tourist. Absolutely stunningly beautiful. We came early (9am) on a weekday and parking was painfully easy in the paid lot.
