Amazing rock formations. I took the longest trail that is here - the Apwinga Loop Trail (3.4 miles) + the Rock Shelter Vista Trail (.25 miles). Great views along these trails. So much to see. Highly recommend!

Favorite local hike that my young boys and I frequent. Its really gorgeous and green during Fall- Spring after all that cool weather and rain. I prefer hiking when its cool because there's not a ton of shade but there's plenty of opportunities to rest and eat a snack on a rock. I would caution about taking dogs with it getting hot and burning their paws on hot rocks.

We were visiting the area and read about this place as a must see. It is a hidden gem with unique rock formations and has good hiking trails. We learned that several movies were filmed here. The Star Trek Historic Film Site was dramatic.
