This 1,500-acre city wilderness park is a protected reserve for the endangered Stephens' kangaroo rat, with dirt trails that are shared with mountain bikers. The Ameal Moore Nature Center at the main trailhead is currently closed except for scheduled programs such as naturalist walks. The Riverside Public Library's mobile library also stops here on Friday mornings.
