The restored 1882 Santa Fe depot, now a streetcar and railway museum run by volunteers who are genuinely happy to talk trains with kids. Weekends only, and a short detour from Pepper Park — easy to pair into one morning.

I love History and this gem of a depot was a great find. Friendly volunteers and knowledgeable. We enjoyed exploring and watching the miniature trains. Free admission but we definitely appreciated our visit and gave a donation through venmo ❤️🚂

I seen this place on my way to the park and I'm really glad I stopped. Old historic trains and muesam. Everything was completely free including the tour that was going on.

Discovered this by chance, proximity to our hotel. Open Sat & Sun 10am-4pm no cost (donation). The volunteer made our experience entertaining & informative. Vast history dating over 100yrs. Adjacent corner building displays a trolley as well.

I visited on a Monday morning, and while the depot is only open at 10 AM on Saturdays and Sundays, there’s no access to the yard or inside during weekdays. However, if you’re interested in filming or photographing the various types of rolling stock, you can still capture great shots through the fence. The collection outside is quite unique, with some fascinating historic pieces. My main reason for coming was to see the Siemens-Duewag U2, and it didn’t disappoint! Will have to come on the weekend to get access to more amenities!
