AI summary of 5 Google reviews — not a first-hand visit. How we write these

A grocery and deli stop rather than an outing, best known for its tri-tip sandwiches and burritos. Parking is the problem: lunchtimes and weekends fill the lot, which is time-limited and monitored, so go off-peak. There is a patio with weekend live music. One reviewer flags a smelly restroom.

An independent grocery known countywide for its marinated tri-tip, with a deli counter that makes the easiest beach picnic in North County. Order at the deli, then walk across Coast Highway to the sand rather than eating in the cramped lot.

Honestly, this is one of my favorite places to eat and shop. I discovered it last year, and I’ve been coming back ever since. The first thing to know is that parking can be a challenge depending on the day and time. Lunch hours are busy, weekends can get packed with tourists, and finding a spot isn’t always easy. If you can, try going during off-hours. There is security that monitors the lot because of the parking time limit. The market itself has a great selection of fresh produce, meats, seafood, desserts, drinks, and local products. Whether you’re shopping for groceries or just looking for something to eat, there’s a little bit of everything. The real highlight, though, is the food. The tri-tip is easily my favorite. The tri-tip sandwich, burrito, and nachos are all excellent, and the teriyaki chicken bowls are another solid choice. If I had to recommend just one thing, it would be the burrito. It’s packed with flavor, has a great texture, and is actually filling. Don’t skip the sauces, they’re worth grabbing. Service is usually fast, even when it’s busy. The ordering area can look a little chaotic since there isn’t a formal line, but the staff does a good job of calling out who’s next and keeping things moving. There’s also a nice outdoor patio, and on weekends they often have live music, which makes it a great place to hang out. Plus, it’s close enough to the beach that you can grab lunch and then head over afterward. One downside is the restroom. It can have a noticeable odor when you walk by, and I’ve heard complaints about it, although I haven’t used it myself. Overall, this is a place I recommend to anyone. Whether you’re shopping, grabbing lunch, or just looking for a great tri-tip burrito, it’s worth the visit. They also have a location at Petco Park, but in my experience the food there wasn’t quite as good as at the market.

Amazing selection! Better than gelsons! From fresh fruit to prepared foods and a too die for meat counter! This place has it all. I gained 5 pounds by just walking into the place. So many great things! A must if you are in the area.
