Imperial Beach Sports Park

Imperial Beach, CA

★★★★★4.5(538 Google reviews)

A well-loved neighborhood park with a playground, ball diamonds, basketball courts and shaded picnic tables just a few blocks from the sand — an easy, free spot to let kids burn energy after the beach. Pack a picnic and claim a table early on weekends when local games fill the fields.

This park has a lot to offer. From various baseball/softball fields, bleachers, benches, playground, skateboard park, recreation center, two bathroom areas, concession stand, and car charging posts. The parking has got to be the worse. Crickety looking in some areas and not enough parking stalls anywhere around the park. During games - depending which field you’re playing on- parking is minimal. You may find yourself parking across the street by the high school, houses and apartments. Best you arrive early, especially during games and special events. The park is too tight and constricted. The playground is about the only area that has good amount of space, open setting and modern playground equipment. Good park overall 👍🏼

Nice street area around the mini bowl in the middle. Great park for so levels. Especially beginers for transition.

Very small; now that the new park is built probably better to drive down the street to the other park. Basketball hoop is single, and small. Has a skate park too. The rec center is usually closed Playground is outdated

Love this park, not super big, but almost perfect size for what it has. Never seems too crowded, and the mini ramp in the back with the extension is just awesome. If I had to critique I would say I wish there was a way to get to the mini ramp without walking in the dirt, but a small price to pay for the awesome ramp.
