Docents lead free, all-ages walks, and binoculars are lent when available. Bird walks leave from the Visitor Center, where you may spot the endangered Ridgway's rail. The 2nd-Saturday nature walk meets at the River Loop Trail (5th St at Iris Ave); call the Visitor Center (Wed–Sun, 619-575-3613) for changes.
