It was nice seeing the metal sculptures in the desert. We also get a chance to hike the South Fork Palm Wash Canyon to see the Arch and other cool rock formations.

600,000 Ac you could spend a month there. We droved and hiked plum canyon area as well as the slot. We also hiked the Borrego Palm Canyon Trail. Over cast day and not too hot so was a nice walk. We just missed all the flowering plans by a week, however we were lucky to see some cacti still flowering and some critters running about. The only disappointment was taking the one trail expecting to see some big horn sheep and flowering willows ( per the rangers recommendation) oh yes and the water fall , that turned out to be a water flow dropping some 12in. LOL
