  Rosie my chihuahua's favorite park in the Vista/San Marcos area! Sooo huge, lots of greenery everywhere, great energy and flow. Also, there's the dedicated dog park area. 💕 Parking is easy with lots right in front. Huge THANK YOU to the city for keeping this 20-acre park so nice and safe. 😊

  This park is located in a very quiet part of San Marcos. It has plentiful parking and is very spacious. To my knowledge, I think it’s the only park in North County SD that has a mini water park! It’s such a nice feature to this park that the kids love, especially in the summertime! I recommend this park for everyone with kiddos who love to get wet but also running around with many options! The park also has a volleyball court with sand, basketball courts, a playground, and a big grass area!

  This park is great for kids and older ones to do walks and paved walking trail loops for kids to use bikes or walks. It has everything. 2 half Basketball courts, disc golf, splash pad, small and large shaded playground. Lots of climbing swivels, spinning, teeter totter and swings. A soccer area enclosed with bkeachers. A large snake to climb and a dog park . Two bathroom areas on opposite ends and 2 playgrounds one each end.. also resealable picnic areas.

  Great time at this park! Went for the splash pad which the kids enjoyed but ended up spending more time playing. The shades were nice to keep the playground cool. Definitely want to go back with bikes to explore the surrounding grass area and trail.

  My family and I visited this park yesterday evening and we really enjoyed it here! It’s very clean & spacious. I love that there are two playgrounds; one for older kids and the other is shaded and designed with little kids in mind. So, both of my toddler and 2 older kids were able to enjoy both playgrounds. There were several parties going on so just a little crowded at the playgrounds at first but that was ok. Love that there are so many cool amenities for the entire family to enjoy from 2 sets of playgrounds, dog park, open fields, the splash pad, baseball field, basketball courts, swings, walking trail, volleyball & so much more! There’s plenty of sitting & eating areas; such a great place to host a family gathering at Sunset park. Looks like the splash pad is under maintenance but hopefully, we can come back to play in the water soon. We will definitely be visiting this park again.
