I recently visited Joe Davies Heritage Airpark in Palmdale, and it was a very enjoyable experience. This museum is a great place for anyone who loves airplanes, history, or simply wants a peaceful outing. The aircraft displays are impressive, well-maintained, and give a real sense of America’s aerospace history, especially Palmdale’s connection to aviation. Admission is free, which makes it even better for families and visitors on a budget. The open-air setup makes it easy to walk around and take photos at your own pace. I especially liked how close you can get to the planes, making the visit feel more interactive than a typical museum. Overall, Joe Davies Heritage Airpark is a hidden gem in Palmdale and definitely worth visiting if you are interested in aviation or local history.

Lots of cool planes to get right up close to. Seems to always be super windy there though.

I always wanted to see this place it was a last minute decision but my son loved it. He got his SR71 Plush out of it. The SR71 has been retired since 1999 its amazing that this iconic aircraft still to this day since 1976 holds the world air speed record in its category. Yes its a great place for all ages and there is no fee for parking either.

So happy we made the trip to see this super unique collection of planes. It’s great being able to get so close to these planes for awesome pictures. The gentlemen working the gift shop at the time were very nice and informative. It’s worth the trip!
