Pros: Peaceful, beautiful park. Lots of wide walkways with plenty of room for assistive devices (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.) and bicycles. A huge variety of waterfowl to view up close. Be sure to not feed them bread, though. Try chopped lettuce, oats, peas, corn, and birdseed. Multiple playgrounds, bathrooms, picnic areas, seating, shaded areas, and tons of grass. Dog-friendly for leashed dogs. Cons: Very inaccessible park entrance from the main streets, causing great difficulty if you're unfamiliar with the area. For such an expansive park the parking lot isn't large enough, especially spaces for disabled parking. And, there's only 1 lot. Docks are fenced off due to ice, but the temps at this time of year range from 70s to 90s in the day, and 50s to 60s at night. Not enough to freeze, so I'm not sure how long the dock closure will last or how long it's been closed. The Apollo capsule is no longer there.

This park is a very nice spot to hangout alone or with family and friends. The park is well managed, maintained, and protected. The lake provides good views. It must be a very nice spot to watch the sunset. I'd do that next time. There are three playgrounds for kids and plenty of benches plus barbeque grills.

Beautiful location for where it is. Ponds for fishing, saw a catch get made with a massive fish. I was recommended to bring food for the geese/ducks/birds. They are around. Local DJ setup in a corner for a picnic. Was great
