  Very beautiful, very well kept. Smaller than expected but it was a great place to experience. No reservations required at least when we went but food cups for fish were sold out. Staff was very polite and helpful. They take pride in caring for the fish and gardens. Read about Koi and the trees, gives you a better sense of the years taken to make the place so beautiful and crazy how long the koi live!

  Make sure to reserve before arriving, although you may also be able to do it at the entrance. The time slot shows one hour, but visitors are usually allowed to stay longer. Group photos are not allowed, and professional cameras may require permission. The garden is small but beautiful, with small waterfalls that create a very relaxing atmosphere. It is located inside California State University, so parking can be difficult on weekdays. The park is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. A peaceful and calming place when you need a break. The Japanese bonsai trees throughout the garden beautifully represent the culture. 🌿
