Golden Hill Park & Recreation Center
In the southeast corner of Balboa Park, on Golf Course Drive at the edge of South Park and Golden Hill, this city center has a gym, outdoor courts, a multipurpose field, picnic areas and outdoor restrooms. A free teen center runs weekday afternoons from 4 to 7pm. Youth classes and camps are booked through SDRecConnect.

South Park Walkabout
Four times a year, South Park's independent shops, restaurants and galleries stay open in the evening with specials, live entertainment and treats. The December Winter Walkabout adds holiday shopping and seasonal activities. The business district is compact, so it's an easy stroll with a stroller.
