Parks & Hiking
Paramount Ranch
A historic Hollywood movie ranch and National Park land with flat, grassy, oak-lined loop trails — gentle enough for strollers and dotted with film history. The 2018 Woolsey Fire destroyed most of the ranch's famous "Western Town" set, sparing only the HBO Westworld chapel and the Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman train depot; a roughly $26 million rebuild modeled on the ranch's 1920s-30s buildings was reported nearly complete as of September 2026. The oak-shaded loop trails themselves were unaffected by the fire and remain open for an easy family walk.
FreeCheeseboro & Palo Comado Canyons
These oak-shaded NPS canyons offer gentle, mostly flat trails great for families with younger hikers or bikes. Restrooms and parking are at the Chesebro Road trailhead, though lots fill fast on weekends and during spring wildflower season, so arrive early. Bring water — little shade deeper in.
FreeForest Cove Park
A local favorite with two playgrounds (including a separate tot area), a ballfield, basketball hoops, BBQs, restrooms and a picnic shelter — a genuinely free, all-ages spot where kids burn energy while parents relax under the trees.
FreeOld Agoura Park
This rustic park reflects Old Agoura's horse-country character, with an accessible playground, ball field, grassy fields and even an equestrian arena you might catch in use. Ramps and modified equipment mean kids of all abilities can play together, and it sits right by the Cheeseboro trailhead for an easy playground-plus-hike combo.

A big grassy park at 5550 Medea Valley Dr next to Agoura High, with a playground, a ballfield, two multipurpose fields, picnic tables and restrooms. It hosts the city's free summer Sunday concerts.
FreeMorrison Park Inclusive Playground
The city's new fully inclusive playground at 29909 Forest Cove Ln, built with the Westlake Village Rotary and 1,000+ donors, with play elements for kids of all abilities. The city site has free inclusive scavenger hunts you can print. The restroom was still closed for renovation in fall 2026, so plan accordingly. The park also has a full basketball court, picnic shelter and BBQ.
FreeMovies in the Park
All-ages outdoor movies at Reyes Adobe Park, with photo ops, crafts, raffles and costume contests before the film. The 2026 films were Surf's Up, Guardians of the Galaxy and How to Train Your Dragon. Bring a beach chair or blanket.
FreePeter Strauss Ranch
An NPS site at 30000 Mulholland Hwy with oak woodland, a seasonal creek, a lawn and short easy trails. Its 1950s Lake Enchanto past shows in the old concert terrace and the relic of a huge pool. The ranch house burned in the 2018 Woolsey Fire, and the site reopened in June 2022. Restrooms and water are on site, but the lot and trails are unpaved and not ADA-accessible.
FreeReyes Adobe Park
A hillside park at 30400 Rainbow Crest Dr with a playground, a reservable picnic shelter, BBQs and restrooms, on the same grounds as the historic Reyes Adobe. It's where the city holds summer Movies in the Park.

A neighborhood park at 6000 Calmfield Ave with a playground, a multipurpose field, a picnic shelter, BBQs and restrooms. A good low-key option north of the 101 for a playground and picnic.
