The DIY Celebrity Home Tour — Extended Loop

A free, self-drive loop — 17 stops, ~3 hours including stops, starting and ending at Hollywood Walk of Fame & TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. View from public streets only; please respect residents' privacy.

Start & finish: Hollywood Walk of Fame & TCL Chinese Theatre

Park near Hollywood & Highland, find a star or two, and press your hands into the cement prints out front. This is the start — and the finish — of the loop.

  1. 1.

    The Witch's House (Spadena House)

    Beverly Hills

A real-life storybook cottage with a crooked roof — built as a 1920s movie set, now a private home and the most-photographed house in Beverly Hills. Pure fairy-tale fun for kids.

  2. 2.

    Greystone Mansion

    Beverly Hills

A 55-room Tudor estate on a public park — you can actually get out and walk the gardens. You've seen it in dozens of movies. The one stop on the loop where you can stretch your legs.

  3. 3.

    Lucille Ball's longtime home

    Beverly Hills (Roxbury Dr)

Comedy royalty lived on this leafy stretch of Roxbury Drive for decades — the same few blocks where Jimmy Stewart and other Old-Hollywood greats kept houses.

  4. 4.

    Taylor Swift's Beverly Hills estate

    Beverly Hills (Laurel Ln)

A historic landmark mansion once owned by legendary film producer Samuel Goldwyn, lovingly restored — one of several homes the superstar keeps. A backseat sing-along is basically required as you roll past.

  5. 5.

    Paul McCartney's LA home

    Beverly Hills

The Beatles legend keeps a place in the hills above Beverly Hills. Cue up a little 'Hey Jude' for the drive — a fun one for the grown-ups in the car.

  6. 6.

The Beverly Hills Hotel ("The Pink Palace")

    Beverly Hills (Sunset Blvd)

Opened in 1912 and painted its famous pink in 1948 — Beverly Hills' first official historic landmark. Marilyn Monroe kept a favorite bungalow here, and Elizabeth Taylor honeymooned in the bungalows six different times. It's a working hotel, so you can actually pull up and see the banana-leaf lobby from the entrance.

    Greenacres (Harold Lloyd Estate)

    Beverly Hills (Benedict Canyon)

Silent-film star Harold Lloyd's 44-room 1928 estate, still standing essentially as he built it — a National Register of Historic Places and California Historical Landmark. One of the best-preserved Old Hollywood estates on the whole loop.

  8. 8.

    Rihanna's Beverly Crest home

    Beverly Crest (Heather Rd)

The chart-topping superstar's hilltop home sits up Heather Road in leafy Beverly Crest. Roll the windows down, queue up the hits, and enjoy the canyon views on the climb.

    Adele's compound

    Beverly Hills (Beverly Park)

A Mediterranean-style compound Sylvester Stallone built in the late 1990s, bought by the singer in 2022 for $58 million — tucked inside the gated Beverly Park enclave. You'll only reach the gates, but the views on the climb up are worth it.

    The Spelling Manor

    Holmby Hills

The biggest house in LA County — 56,000+ square feet built by TV titan Aaron Spelling. You can only glimpse the gates and rooftops, but the 'wait, ONE family?!' factor is huge with kids.

  11. 11.

    The Playboy Mansion

    Holmby Hills (Charing Cross Rd)

One of the most famous private addresses in America for half a century. Today it's privately owned — just a gated drive-by, but an unmistakable LA landmark.

    Michael Jackson's final home

    Holmby Hills (Carolwood Dr)

The King of Pop spent his last days in a French-château-style estate on Carolwood Drive. A quiet, tree-lined street — slow down and take it in.

    The "Beverly Hillbillies" Mansion

    Bel-Air (Bel Air Rd)

The grand estate from the opening credits of the classic sitcom — and once the priciest home in America, later selling for $150 million, the most expensive home sale in California history. A fun one to cue up the theme song for.

    Elvis Presley's LA home

    Holmby Hills (Monovale Dr)

The King kept a home here in the 1970s. Roll the windows down, play a little 'Burning Love,' and enjoy the drive through the hills.

The "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" Mansion

    Brentwood (Bristol Ave)

The actual house from the show's exterior shots (it's in Brentwood, not Bel-Air — Hollywood secret!). Instant nostalgia and a guaranteed kid-pleaser.

  16. 16.

    Marilyn Monroe's Brentwood home

    Brentwood (Helena Dr)

The only home the Old-Hollywood icon ever owned by herself, on a quiet Brentwood cul-de-sac. In 2023 the owners tried to tear it down — the city stepped in and made it a Historic-Cultural Monument to stop them, and a judge upheld the block. The westernmost point of the loop before you turn back.

    Walt Disney's former home

    Los Feliz (Woking Way)

Where Walt lived during the golden years of the studio — he even ran a little backyard railroad here. A perfect, full-circle final stop for a family on a day out.

Locations are approximate drive-by points compiled from public sources; some residents have long since moved. Tour at your own pace, obey all traffic and parking signs, and never trespass.
