Friday is free to admit. Plenty of parking on site. It’s a proper uphill hiking so make sure of shoes and may consider taking hiking sticks. I was expecting more variety of plants. You can buy ticket on spot. They have a cute gift shop as well.

I typically go on weekends. No need to get tickets ahead of time. If you're a member unlimited free entry. I added my membership card to Google wallet so I don't have to carry the card or wait for them to look me up. The walk is always lovely and the views get better the higher you go. You can tack on The Ramble if you want to go further or the African gardens are beautiful. It's a wonderful place to connect with nature right in the heart of downtown Ventura.

Beautiful place with lots of great views. Be ready to hike alot and uphill though. There was a good variety of plants and trees i loved although I was expecting more but totally understand for the climate and terrain of the area. Great gift shop and great staff. Well worth the visit.

It's a beautiful garden but it can be quite a hike. Kids and strollers are welcome but it is not a stroll.in the park. My husband and I brought our toddler in her stroller. We're sore. But it is a nice way to enjoy the view of the ocean! Fridays are free

Gorgeous gardens and Pacific views. We didn't realize it would be a great hike so we didn't dress for it or bring water. Hats are necessary on really sunny days and hiking shoes. The gift shop is eclectic and cute and so many plants for sale. We loved it so much we became members.
