North Beach is the north end of the San Clemente Beach Trail and has its own Metrolink stop, so families can take the train straight to the sand. It has ADA access, restrooms and fire rings, and the historic Ole Hanson Beach Club pool is right above it; the beach area was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2020. The Mariposa section of the Beach Trail just south reopened in October 2026 after two years of rail-slope repairs.
