Laguna's city trolleys are free and run year-round now, not just in summer. The off-season Coastal Route (Sept. 8, 2026–June 25, 2027) runs along Coast Highway from North Laguna and Heisler Park through downtown to South Laguna and the Ritz-Carlton in Dana Point every 20–30 minutes, starting 7:30 a.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. weekends. On Saturdays and Sundays, park at Lot 16/Act V (1900 Laguna Canyon Rd.) for $5 and ride the Canyon Route downtown, 9 a.m.–7 p.m. Riding the trolley itself is a treat for little kids.
