The 5-acre grassy bluff-top lawn above La Jolla Cove, with picnic tables, benches, a restroom with showers and big ocean views; it's the easy place to picnic between seal-watching and the Cove. Alcohol, glass and smoking are banned here and on the adjacent walkways, and dogs are not allowed during daytime beach hours. Street parking is metered and scarce midday.
