The wide city beach east of the wharf, with a playground, more than a dozen volleyball courts and picnic areas at East Beach Park. Dogs are not allowed on the sand. Free beach wheelchairs (one manual, one motorized) can be reserved at the Cabrillo Pavilion, which also has showers and lockers.
